the content on this website comes from extensive research using all different types of sources, by a small, dedicated team of people with a big interest in dreaming, reading, researching, and talking to others about their dreams

how to interpret your dreams

dreams can be anything from ugly, to pleasant, to foretelling, and whilst it may be difficult much of the time to interpret them, at least accurately, it is still possible to learn something from them, such as about ourselves or others. Even when dreams are simply a reflection of things experienced during the day, they may still act as a source for ideas. This is because reflections are often embellished by our imagination and this combined outcome could give inspiration about a school project, for example, or ideas about how to approach a certain issue

you are in control - take whatever you want from your dreamworld

in order to make the most of your dream, when interpreting it also try to extract the 'essence' of it - work out what it was really about and what the focus of it was. For example, if you dreamt of waste in the kitchen, which one was more significant? The waste or the kitchen? How would you know which one to interpret? In this case, if the former was the focus then your dream could have been about something brewing in some aspect of your life, and if it was the latter it could have been about uncertainty in the workplace

furthermore, the action in your dream is also important and must be considered. For example, if you see a teddy, it could be about seeking advice and guidance. But if you dream of throwing the teddy - or something else - away, the message could be about gender inequality or longing

yes, it can be confusing, which is why you must always work out which element carried more weight. Ask yourself what the focus of your dream was before you begin to analyse what it means. For the purposes of this website, where a particular action is significant, we will tell you about it

finally, trust your instinct upon first waking up even if you don't remember the actual dream - it should still tell you something. Refer also to 'personal dreams' and 'expert theories'

and please bear in mind: not everything means something, so some things we have left out
